Halo™ Hybrid Fractional Laser

At APT Medical Aesthetics in Oakville, serving patients throughout the Greater Toronto Area, we offer Halo™ Hybrid Fractional Laser — one of the most advanced skin rejuvenation technologies available in the GTA. Many of our patients make the drive from downtown Toronto, Mississauga, Burlington, and beyond specifically for Halo™ treatments, knowing that the combination of Sciton technology and our education-first clinical approach delivers results that are worth it.

What Is Halo™ Hybrid Fractional Laser?

Halo™ is the world’s first hybrid fractional laser, developed by Sciton — the same industry-leading manufacturer behind our BBL™ and SkinTyte II™ platforms. As one of the few clinics in the GTA operating the full Sciton suite, APT Medical Aesthetics offers a level of precision and consistency that single-device clinics simply cannot match.

Halo™ combines tunable non-ablative (1470nm) and ablative (2940nm) wavelengths to deliver deep dermal rejuvenation and epidermal renewal simultaneously. Its Dynamic Thermal Optimization technology ensures precise, safe, and consistent results tailored to each patient’s unique skin type — something our clinicians assess carefully before every treatment using our AURA 3D skin imaging system.

Why Patients Choose APT for Halo™ in the GTA

At APT Medical Aesthetics, we take a conservative, education-first approach to every treatment. Before recommending Halo™, our clinicians conduct a thorough consultation and skin analysis to ensure it is the right treatment for your skin type, concerns, and lifestyle. We never recommend more than what is needed, and we are always honest about realistic expectations and timelines.

Our patients frequently tell us that they researched Halo™ laser in Toronto and chose to make the drive to Oakville because of our reputation for natural-looking results, personalized treatment planning, and the reassurance that comes from being treated by clinicians who also train other injectors and laser technicians across Canada.

Treatment Areas

Halo™ is safe for all skin types and can be used across multiple areas of the face and body. While most commonly used for facial rejuvenation, our Oakville patients have also seen outstanding results on the neck, chest, arms, hands, and legs. Conditions treated include:

  • Fine lines and wrinkles
  • Hyperpigmentation and sun damage
  • Melasma
  • Pigmented lesions
  • Acne scars and scarring
  • Enlarged and clogged pores
  • Rough or uneven skin texture
  • Dull or lacklustre skin tone
  • Actinic keratoses

How to Prepare for Your Halo™ Treatment

During your initial consultation at our Oakville clinic, your clinician will provide personalized pre-treatment guidelines. This typically includes pausing certain active skincare ingredients and avoiding sun exposure and tanning beds for approximately two weeks before your appointment. Your skin’s sensitivity to UV light increases with laser treatment, which is why sun protection is a non-negotiable part of your preparation and aftercare plan.

How Halo™ Works

A topical numbing cream is applied to the treatment area and left for approximately 40 minutes before the procedure begins. Your clinician will then use a handheld Sciton device across the treatment area for approximately 30 minutes, or until the system confirms the treatment is complete. Mild discomfort and warmth during the procedure are normal. Cooling air is applied afterward for 40 minutes to soothe the skin, and most patients feel warm for an additional 15 to 30 minutes post-treatment.

Results You Can Expect

Halo™ delivers both immediate and progressive results. Immediately following treatment, patients notice a brighter, more even complexion. Over the following weeks and months, as the laser’s collagen stimulation takes effect, skin continues to improve in texture, firmness, and clarity — a process called dermal regeneration that can continue for up to six months post-treatment.

At APT Medical Aesthetics, we emphasize realistic expectations and long-term skin planning over one-time dramatic results. Halo™ fits naturally into a broader skin journey — often combined with BBL™, medical-grade skincare, and periodic maintenance treatments to preserve and build on your results over time.

How Many Treatments Will I Need?

Treatment frequency is entirely individualized. Some patients prefer one or two more intensive sessions, while others achieve their goals with a series of lighter treatments spaced over several months. Your clinician will recommend a plan based on your skin analysis, lifestyle, and goals — never a one-size-fits-all approach.

Aftercare and Recovery

Immediately after your Halo™ session, some redness and a sensation similar to mild sunburn are normal. Depending on the intensity of your treatment, your clinician may advise a few days of downtime. For the first 24 hours, follow your clinician’s skin protection guidelines and avoid saunas, hot tubs, hot yoga, and intense exercise. By day two, most patients can apply mineral makeup and resume normal activities. Light peeling typically begins around day three to four, revealing refreshed skin underneath.

Daily broad-spectrum sunscreen is essential after Halo™ to protect your results and prevent pigmentation from returning — this is a non-negotiable part of every aftercare plan we provide at APT Medical Aesthetics.

Potential Side Effects

Halo™ is a clinically proven, Health Canada-compliant treatment with a well-established safety profile. Mild side effects including temporary redness, swelling, and peeling are normal and resolve on their own. As with any medical procedure, more significant side effects are possible but rare. Your clinician will discuss these openly during your consultation — because at APT, we believe informed patients make better decisions.

Why Choose APT Medical Aesthetics for Halo™ in Oakville and the GTA?

APT Medical Aesthetics is one of the GTA’s most trusted providers of Halo™ Hybrid Fractional Laser. Our Oakville clinic operates the full Sciton platform — Halo™, BBL™, Forever Young BBL™, and SkinTyte II™ — and pairs advanced technology with the kind of personalized, education-first care that patients from Toronto, Mississauga, Burlington, and across the Greater Toronto Area rely on.

We are also home to APT Injection Training, where we train other medical professionals in advanced aesthetic techniques — which means when you choose APT, you are being treated by clinicians who are trusted to teach others.
